I saw the work above on the Barry Whistler Gallery blog today. It jumped out at me for some reason. I'd love to see work by Terrell James in person. The above painting brought to mind this work by Daniel Lehrer and this work by my friend Kristen Cochran.

You should check out Barry Whistler Gallery. Not only is Barry Whistler (the man) a pillar of the Dallas art scene, but the gallery employs my friend Leila Grothe and shows the work of my friend Allison V. Smith. I won't lie. I'm biased.
