Have you noticed how many indie bands are getting their songs on commercials these days? Was this a trend started by Apple? I don't know. But I find it funny that most people wouldn't recognize the songs behind the commercials (besides Apple commercials, because Apple causes bands to blow up). Take a recent Heineken commercial (which may or may not have run during yesterday's SuperBowl, I can't remember). They used the song "Higher Than The End" from obscure indie band Twi The Humble Feather. But this is far from filler music. I really like this song.
