It's fitting on a Sunday morning to post about a bluegrass take on old Christian spirituals. Daniel Martin Moore, signed to the indie megalabel SubPop, dropped his album In The Cool Of The Day this past week. It features a number of traditional hymns and a few Moore originals as well. I think the his smooth voice and laid back approach to bluegrass makes these songs enjoyable to anyone, no matter their disposition toward faith.- Joel
