Last Words

© Chris Harrell
I love this print from Chris Harrell.  I'm tempted to buy it on Etsy but probably won't.  I have a hard time spending money on things to put on my walls, because I'm not good enough at organizing them to make a coherent, compelling presentation.  Anyway, if you don't recognize the words on the print, these are the last words from the novel The Great Gatsby.  Excellent book if I do say so myself.

These Are Things

These Are Things is a Colubus, Ohio based design shop. I ran across their work on the Public School website. I love their simplicity; so much of design can be unnecessarily crowded. After browsing their shop, I'm a big fan of the U.S. map and the "Hater" print.

Birthday Gift

My parents bought me this limited edition, screenprinted poster created by Aesthetic Apparatus for my birthday. As I've said, I'm a big fan of printmaking. I'm also a big fan of Chuck Klosterman. My plan is to get this mounted and framed. Any suggestions for the best way to frame this? I don't want to get a lame poster frame. I'm thinking something more like a floating mount.

Hatch Show Print

More printmaking and letterpress work. The Austin Museum of Art in Austin, Texas is currently showing old works by Hatch Show Print, a Nashville, Tennessee letterpress company. The company, established in 1879, is still in business today creating unique prints.
