Here They Used To Build Ships

I love this piece from Icelandic composer Jóhann Jóhannsson.  You can find "Here They Used To Build Ships" on the soundtrack for the documentary "Copenhagen Dreams."

Antfood - "Trek"

This song was created for an Emirates Airlines advertisement.  The song, in my opinion, is way better than the ad, which you can see below.  The piano riff reminds me of The Lumineers.

Bernie

I'm slowly learning to appreciate Texas.  Last weekend I saw the movie Bernie.  It contained the clip below that I'd say sums up Texas pretty well.

Balmorhea

I'm way behind on music.  I increasingly worry that I've lost touch, which is probably true.  But here's a new track from Balmorhea.

Last Words

© Chris Harrell

I love this print from Chris Harrell.  I'm tempted to buy it on Etsy but probably won't.  I have a hard time spending money on things to put on my walls, because I'm not good enough at organizing them to make a coherent, compelling presentation.  Anyway, if you don't recognize the words on the print, these are the last words from the novel The Great Gatsby.  Excellent book if I do say so myself.

Monument Valley

Per usual, I'm a sucker for photos of the American West.  Monument Valley is my favorite setting for Western films.
